Welcome to my first step by step workshop to encourage kids to weave using items like recycled packaging, old paintings/drawings, ribbons and craft item that are typically found around the home!
In part 2 of our workshop we dive into our backyards and make a Nature Weave. This one is wonderful for kids of all ages, and the adults too!
Storytelling weaves are the perfect way to get the kids thinking whilst on their outdoor adventure...
> What they like the look of - shapes, textures, colours...
> What they enjoy touching - smooth, rough, cold, hard...
> What sounds they enjoy - crunching of dried leaves, the leaves in the wind, the squishy mud...
Then use that inspiration to weave the story!
